If I could afford to be a minimalist -I would be one, but for now, this one's for the creative kids.

Did you find Phys. Ed cool?

Did you like your over-enthusiastic teacher? I thought not.

Could we please just take a moment to imagine a better world and a life worth running those compulsory 3km's for? A coach worth getting ready and arriving on time for; a coach worth pushing that extra set for; a coach worth collecting those balls that are laaming on the other side for?

Well dear friends, here she is, here he is - your dream Phys. Ed coaches:

But honestly guys, I just wanted to shoot my two fams (yeah, I said 'fams') looking dead with a sport theme to correspond with it, so here it is. That's all there is to it. Sho. K, thanks. Bah.

Awe great people!

It's been a minute but let me get straight to it?

Receiving a message from Teff was one of the most thrilling moments in my creative career. Gosh, she's such a gem.

Duh, I accepted the cross-continental collaboration offer (even though I didn't know how to use Photoshop, I figured it was a great time to start.) With a lot of strenuous evenings, working for hours on one bloody image - crap - and seeing the vision finally execusted was definitely worth it all.
Plus, I have a new sister now and I officially know how to use Photoshop - awe -what could beat that?

*cough* a pair of free Nikes/Adidas every season *cough*

+ QAPHELA ! BUSO BELANGA is the Xhosa term for “Look out! Face of the Sun”.

This is works of African Artists, The Expressionist (Nigerian) and Tony Gum (South African).

A collaboration between two duidelik individuals joining mofo forces. Philia and Tony Gum, the South African YouTubers.

Philia and Tony Gum, an artistic duo that captures life in Cape Town, South Africa, by visually showcasing their views via Youtube and Blogging. Inspired and driven by their taste in music and surroundings, TLC dynamically showcases fashion, culture, places, local music, film, night life and much more.

"We want to expose Cape Town lifestyle, not only by our dynamic means but through our cultural backgrounds too. Our objective is to make being South African as desirable as it is to be any other mainstream nationality."

Halala, umswenko.

Sharp.
So brotherman, Sipho, hollered at a sister because he had a task to fulfill and being the kid who's ever so keen, I obviously agreed.

I left work early and met-up with the talented brother near The Castle; we walked, conversed and basically caught-up because, like most Cape Tonians say, "It's beeeeen a minute."
He then informed me that we're going to wing this one because he really wanted to shoot with his new baby, the Canon 5D - OH MY GLOB
(yes, I broke that camera's virginity.)

We made our way into his school, the Cape Town School of Photography, which I must say, has this effortless clean touch; the are walls decorated with the students' photography, filling up the blank space, one after the other. Not forgetting the huge framed window that generously allows in the fresh sunshine while the view of Table Mountain sits comfortably before your eyes.
Can you see it?
I'm sorry. I couldn't just simply describe it - It's bloody beautiful.

While Sipho set-up the studio, I got my black lip & wig on and this was basically the result of Thursday afternoon.

I could go on, but I choose not to because, dear Reader, this won't be the last time you see Sipho's name on this blog.
He's so gifted
& yes, you can gaan an - have you seen his work?! Click here mtshana.

The significance of today? Click here so that you may
not only understand, but contain
the knowledge of Women's Day.
Let your mind go astray
leading you to that day
where those women staged a march
which would later impact this day.
A day of freedom, a day of significance,
a day in which we can say, "Mamela apha, ungakhe ulinge uthinte umfazi.

Shap.

Enjoy your month ladies.
