Indeed, accessories designer Olympia Le-Tan, daughter of French artist Pierre Le-Tan, got the idea of dusting off the great mid-19th century classics and making them into bags.
The catalog is as broad as it is long: fromDracula, Moby Dick, The Catcher in the Rye, andBeauty and the Beast to Lord Jim and many more. Once you've chosen your title, the bag is made. The cover, an exact copy of the first edition, is reproduced to become a book-clutch. The result might be a little stiff, but it's an idea worthy of imitation: having a book tucked under your arm is always a good look.
